OPTIMIZATION OF PIEZO-MEMS LAYOUT FOR A BLADDER MONITOR

Novioscans subsidiaries NovioMEMS and Novioscan Research present a poster at the 2016 edition of IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium, TOURS, FRANCE, 18 to 21 September 2016. We combine analytic modeling, finite element simulations, and measurements to optimize the performance of four piezoelectric MEMS layouts for a wearable bladder monitor.

Originally, I have an Organic Chemistry/ PharmacoChemistry background. Later I moved into broader LifeSciences and Biologicals areas. I have long career in the LifeScience and Animal Health industry, such as my former membership of the executive committee at Merck AH. Merck AH is the animal health division of Merck Inc. with about 3.5 B€ annual sales and a global presence in companion animals as well as food animals.

I have had Executive roles in a global top 3 Animal Health company (MSD AH and it’s predecessors). My areas of expertise lie in Antibiotics, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Vaccine R&D and M&A projects.

I have executive experience in medical device manufactoring and a lot of experience in bringing ideas to the market by scouting opportunities. I like to work with highly motivated people. In my work, I am especially interested in new, innovative ideas that will positively influence the world.

Cartesian Optics (CO) develops lenses with superior image quality. Inspired by the work of Descartes in the 17th-century, CO implements a innovative way of calculating lenses. The form of the CO lenses can be found in one of the wonders of nature: the eye.

The first application of the new lens calculation are in the multifocal glasses market. Typically, a multifocal lens is design leads to some distortion of your side vision. This can cause blurry vision and even leads to falling when walking down the stairs. CO multifocal glasses do not excibit this disadvantage and gives a perectly clear view through the whole glass.
