Eef Lamers joins the NovioCap team

Eef has just finished his Master Physics and Astronomy at the Radboud University and is persuing his dream of bringing innovative technologies to the market. During his study, he started his first company Gight, which is how he came in contact with entrepreneurship.

At NovioCap, Eef hopes to develop his business skills as well as helping others with their ideas. Eef: "I can learn a lot from the experienced team around me. With my background in theoretical physics, I have strong analytical and problem solving skills. Combined with my social character, I have a perfect mix for helping others."

As a business developer Eef will be doing feasibilities studies, market analysis, write business plans, apply for grants and above all, help others in their entrepreneurial journey.

Originally, I have an Organic Chemistry/ PharmacoChemistry background. Later I moved into broader LifeSciences and Biologicals areas. I have long career in the LifeScience and Animal Health industry, such as my former membership of the executive committee at Merck AH. Merck AH is the animal health division of Merck Inc. with about 3.5 B€ annual sales and a global presence in companion animals as well as food animals.

I have had Executive roles in a global top 3 Animal Health company (MSD AH and it’s predecessors). My areas of expertise lie in Antibiotics, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Vaccine R&D and M&A projects.

At NovioCap, I am interested in supporting individuals and teams to help transfer innovative ideas into products on the market. With my experience in executive roles, I support in business plan formation and execution.

My background lies in solid state physics and inorganic chemistry. Early in my career I became an entrepreneur. I started companies in differents fields such as integrated circuits, medical devices and biomaterials.

I have executive experience in medical device manufactoring and a lot of experience in bringing ideas to the market by scouting opportunities. I like to work with highly motivated people. In my work, I am especially interested in new, innovative ideas that will positively influence the world.

My background lies in engineering and as an entrepreneur in medical technology and new materials. I have experience in the application and marketing of early phase developments or startup wherein financing plays an important role.

I have founded several companies, some of which have come to an exit. My areas of expertise are in mechatronics, IP development, manufacturing, financing and M&A.

I retired as vice president of the regional Court of Gelderland. Nevertheless, I am still working as a counselor specialized in civil law. In the field of dispute resolution, I have experience as chairman of the Disciplinary Courts of public/private partnership organisations, as well as chairman of various Arbitration Committees. At NovioCap, I operate as an advisor in strategic and legal matters.

Cartesian Optics (CO) develops lenses with superior image quality. Inspired by the work of Descartes in the 17th-century, CO implements a innovative way of calculating lenses. The form of the CO lenses can be found in one of the wonders of nature: the eye.

The first application of the new lens calculation are in the multifocal glasses market. Typically, a multifocal lens is design leads to some distortion of your side vision. This can cause blurry vision and even leads to falling when walking down the stairs. CO multifocal glasses do not excibit this disadvantage and gives a perectly clear view through the whole glass.
